Arlington, TX – October 8, 2025 – Everything was going well last Tuesday night when the repossession agent pulled into the strip mall parking lot to call in his recovery. But everything went south on him when the borrower showed up and opened fire.
Arlington Police responded to a shooting call at a strip mall at the 2100 block of South Collins Street about 9:20 PM on Tuesday the 7th. Upon arrival, they discovered an unnamed repossessor suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to police, the victim had just repossessed an SUV and had pulled into the parking lot to file his report. It was then that an unnamed man in another vehicle approached him.
“During the exchange, the owner of the SUV pulled out a gun and shot the victim,” reported the Arlington Police.
According to police, the owner of the vehicle told them that he thought his car was being stolen and claimed that he saw the man reaching for something in his waistband, prompting him to open fire.
Police reported that they did recover guns from both men.
The repossession agent was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
