Hands down, DRN is the largest network of repossession companies who do employ LPR and the vast majority (88%) do run with cameras in one strategy or the other.

Of the companies that do employ LPR, there is a weighted overall average of 3.69 camera cars per company. Remove those twenty five companies employing ten or more and the weighted rate goes down to 2.45.

A somewhat common occurrence emanating from LPR assignments in a “hot list” and individually assigned, is the issue of two agencies showing up at the same unit at near the same time. There have been violent incidents occur from this and even in the absence of violence, a lot of animosity or arguments do ensue. Nationally, 63% of LPR running companies claim to have experienced this.
