Repo Men Struck by Borrower Fleeing Repo Attempt

Gainesville, GA – 23 August 2019 – Late Thursday afternoon, the 22^nd, two repo men arriving at a residence to repossess a Chevrolet Equinox encountered the borrower and her husband as they were reportedly leaving. The borrower, allegedly struck both repossessors with the vehicle as she fled.

Patricia Renee Garrison, 46 of Gainesville, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault from injuries sustained that required one man from the unnamed repossession company, to be taken to the hospital, according to the responding Hall County Sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies stated; “During the initial investigation, deputies determined that two men with a repossession company had arrived at the address to repossess the SUV. As she was leaving the location, Garrison intentionally drove the Chevrolet Equinox toward one of the men, hitting one of his legs,” according to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck.

Of the two Repo Men, one allegedly struck 53 year-old suffered no injuries requiring treatment, while the second sustained injuries.

“She struck a second victim with the SUV, hitting one of his ankles and an arm.”

Emergency services transported the injured repo man, age 32, to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Husband of the borrower, Doyle Timothy Garrison, 55, was a passenger in the SUV during the incident and was charged with two counts of party to the crime of aggravated assault.

Having fled the scene, the Garrisons eventually returned when contacted by the deputies and were arrested when they returned.

The case is still under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s office.
