Asset Biz Statement on Gustavo Macedo’s murder

Following is our statement that was released to our employees this morning concerning the senseless murder of Gustavo (Gus) Macedo the early morning hours of January 30, 2022:

Gustavo “Gus” Macedo

Today, I have the very sad task of reporting the death of one of our valued members of the AssetsBiz Corp. family.   Gustavo “Gus” Macedo, based out of our Chicago office, was killed early hours of Sunday, January 30, 2022.  From what we have been able to determine, he was likely a victim of a robbery gone bad in Lawndale area of Chicago.  The circumstances under which Gus was at that location and what transpired is being actively investigated by the Chicago Police Department.

Gus had worked for AssetsBiz Corp. for many years.   He first joined our team as a camera car operator / spotter and eventually became an integral part of our inhouse fleet maintenance, installing camera systems and repair operations.

Gus amazed his co-workers with his work ethic, his positive attitude, and his willingness to help anyone in need, in any way he could.  Gus was the ultimate “team player.”

Gus will be missed terribly by everyone that he worked with at AssetsBiz Corp. and we will take steps to make sure that his contributions and his legacy are never forgotten.  All of us at AssetsBiz Corp. offer our heartfelt condolences to his family during this very difficult time.

Gus’s family has created a go-fund me page to help raise money in his memory:  https://gofund.me/fec91425

Thank you,

Mike Terreault, CARS, MPRS

President

AssetsBiz Corp.
