Report: LPR Camera Car Driver Shot and Killed

Chicago, IL – January 31, 2022 – Details are still emerging, but according to a very reliable source, a 36-year-old male camera car driver was working early Sunday morning on Chicago’s west side community of Lawndale. Arriving officers found him still alive suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.

The camera car driver was discovered at about 1:58 am on the 4500 block of West Grenshaw Street.

He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

There is no one in custody and the shooting is under investigation by Area Four detectives.

All that we know, is that he was employed with a repossession agency out of the Chicago. It is unknown if it was during a scan patrol or a repossession attempt. The driver was reported as a single male, age 36.

At this point, the only collaborating story to correspond to this morning’s report was from local news, which corroborated the source of this story.
