Hall County, GA – December 17, 2025 – What do you do when your car’s just been repossessed? You chase them down and try to run them off the road right in front of police of course. At least that was the offramp to Crazytown one woman took last Sunday night.
Just after 10pm on Sunday the 14th, A Hall County Sherrif Deputy was busy assisting in a traffic stop on Belton Bridge Road when he saw a Chevrolet pickup truck and a tow truck traveling southbound on the road.
As they neared, the deputy witnessed the Chevy pickup truck accelerate and move into the northbound lane where it veered toward the tow truck in an attempt to force the tow truck from the road.
When the tow truck braked to avoid the collision, the pickup truck, driven by 52-year-old Sandra Garcia, drove past the tow truck and skidded off the road. Determined, Ms. Garcia is reported to have then turned the truck around in the middle of the road and headed back to the tow truck.
The Deputy had seen enough and activated the emergency equipment on his patrol vehicle to put an end to this dangerous game of cat and mouse. Both Ms. Garcia and the unnamed repossession agent complied and stopped to speak with the deputy.
Upon interviewing the two, the Deputy discovered that the agent had just repossessed a vehicle at Garcia’s residence and for the last 3-4 miles, Ms. Garcia had been chasing him until the Deputy intervened.
Ms. Garcia was detained at the scene on charges of aggravated assault, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving. She was later transported to the jail in Gainesville and later released on a $5,060 bond.
