Milwaukee, WI – December 30, 2025 – The year 2025 almost ended in a tragic death in the frigid cold of a Wisconsin night as a repossessor was shot.

It was just around 11:41pm on Monday night near Teutonia Avenue and Burleigh Street near Union Cemetery when police responded to a 911 call from an unnamed repossession agent employed by Nationwide Recovery, Inc. He had been shot but had managed to escape the deadly situation.
Police and emergency responders caught up to him at a safe location where he received field treatment before being sped away to a local hospital.
Doctors performed an emergency surgery and the agent is recovering well.

Police announce that they still have no suspects, but Barry of Nationwide Recovery reports in a press release that they have full video of the event which they have turned over to authorities. Below is the statement from Nationwide Recovery, Inc. A funraiser for the injured agent is reported to be in the planning.
