“Do you want to die?”

San Antonio, TX – October 26, 2023 – A man and a woman attempting to repossess a car in San Antonio’s southwest side encountered an angry armed borrower Tuesday evening. Shots were fired and as things escalated, dogs were sicked on police, tasers were fired and after a brief wrestling match, a borrower faces charges.

The fracas began shortly after 6pm on Tuesday evening, when according to police, an unnamed man and woman attempted to repossess a vehicle from 35-year-old Anthony Mora. Startled by gunfire, they claim that they found Mora pointing a firearm at their repo truck which they were sitting inside of.

With the gun still pointed at them, Mora then allegedly said “Do you want to die?” and fired again, but according to the report, the victims believed that he shot into the ground.

Leaving the woman in the tow truck, the man then reportedly exited the vehicle, using it as a shield and began recording Mora as he paced around his yard firearm in hand.

Mora then reportedly left the yard and did something odd. Mora sat on a toilet on the sidewalk. Why was there a toilet on the sidewalk? Who knows, it’s what they wrote in the original report.

With Mora seated on the oddly placed toilet, the repossessor then reportedly attempted to calm Mora down and had some success in getting Mora to retreat into his home. But then police arrived, and things escalated.

Mora was walking out of his house with a cellphone to his ear as officers approached him and ordered him to the ground, which he ignored. Not knowing if he was still armed, an officer ordered him to “get down on the ground.” Ignoring their efforts officers attempted to detain him.

Pulling away, Mora reportedly “flexed his body real hard, preparing to fight.” Mora was then taken to the ground, where he continued to resist arrest. In the process, Mora allegedly yelled to his dogs to attack the officers.

But the dogs apparently wanted nothing to do with any of this and ignored his orders to attack and instead ran to the back of the property.

Two shocks with a Taser later and officers finally managed to get Mora in handcuffs.

The repossessor reported to police that he thought Mora may have kids because he yelled, “Get back! Go into the house.” But after a sweep of the home, officers found no one inside except a dog.

According to the police report, the woman who stayed inside the truck confirmed the agent’s story. The agent also advised officers of the cameras on the front and back of his tow truck that allegedly showed Mora pointing the firearm at them.

Anthony Mora was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. His bail was set at $150,000.
