Repo Rundown Runaway Arrested
Seneca County, NY – April 6, 2024 – A 40-year-old Port Byron man took drastic measures when faced with and attempt to repossess his car. Almost allegedly running over a repossession agent and wrecking both agent’s vehicles, he made his escape. But not for long.
According to The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, the mayhem began just before noon on April 3rd, when a pair of unnamed Repossessors attempted to repossess a vehicle from 40-year-old Robert J Bush Jr. Police allege that Bush, in his attempt to flee their efforts, nearly ran over one of the agents and then struck both repossession agent’s vehicles causing damage.
Bush, having successfully fled the scene, traveling from the Petro Truck stop located in Tyre NY, before coming to a stop at Circle K located at State Route 5 and Route 90 in Cayuga County.
It was there that Bush was taken into custody by officers of The Seneca County Sheriff’s Department without issue. He was then taken to and processed at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center.
Bush has been charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and several traffic violations including unsafe backing, having and unsafe tire and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Bush is expected to answer to the above criminal charges and traffic citations in court in the Town of Tyre at a later date.
