Arnold, MO – June 5, 2023 – The car didn’t show at the residence. Sitting at the end of the driveway, the repossessor was writing his report, when something else showed up, the borrower. And according to the police, he was angry and armed with a gun.
It was just about 10:00am on a Tuesday morning last May 23rd when an unnamed recovery agent checked an address for a repossession assignment on the 1700 block of Janet Drive in Arnold, Missouri. The car was a “no-show”, so the agent went to writing his report at the scene.
Startled by the sound of angry shouts, the agent reported that the borrower was coming at him with a gun in his hand. Having no interest in conversation, he hit the gas and fled the scene.
Having reached a parking lot at the intersection of Astra Way and Highway 141, he called the police. Officers arrived at the scene and were in the process of taking a report from the agent when they received a surprise visitor, the borrower.
The suspect claimed to the officers that he did not have a gun back at the house. But the cops weren’t buying it.
The borrower was placed under arrest and taken to the police station. Arnold police reported that they will be charging the unnamed man with first-degree harassment in the Jefferson County Court.
