“see ya buddy.”
Port Allen, LA – March 25, 2026 – As the paraphrased 12th century quote says, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”. Or perhaps it is the simple desire to get the keys as is possibly the case with one agent’s offer to let a borrower remove her personal property from the car. While not “hell” for him, it may be at very least the cause of some misery for the borrower.
The Port Allen Police Department are looking for Rhonda “Razzberry” Franklin who has been charged with the theft of her own car from the clutches of a repossession agent.
The incident occurred on Monday, March 23, on N. 13th Street as an unnamed repossession agent tried to repossess a vehicle, assume to belong to Franklin.
According to police, the repossessor allowed Franklin to remove items from the vehicle. Unfortunately, however kind or self-serving in desire to get the keys that gesture was, it was not appreciated by Franklin. Police report that at some point during this, Franklin jumped into the driver’s seat of the vehicle, put it in reverse, and reportedly said, “see ya buddy.”
Rhonda “Razzberry” Franklin is now wanted on a theft of a motor vehicle charge.
There is no mention of damage to a tow truck but it does appear in the photo to have been strapped to the lift.
