Lopatcong Township, PA – 26 December 2018 – A 50-year-old man bit and pulled a weapon on a tow truck driver repossessing the man’s vehicle, according to a township police report.
Joe Lopez Jr., of the 100 block of Powderhorn Drive, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, simple assault and criminal mischief and was housed in Warren County jail awaiting his first appearance in county court, which was scheduled for Monday, police said.
The incident was reported at 8:22 a.m. Sunday, after Lopez bit the driver and “brandished a weapon,” police said. The driver had “visible signs of injury,” police said.
