LPR Repo Leaves Agent Flat Footed
Denton, TX – September 26, 2023 – Just another Walmart repo. Well, that’s probably what one recovery agent thought when he got an LPR hit in their parking lot. What he didn’t account for was the desperate borrower.
It was shortly after noon on Monday when an unnamed repossession agent got a hit on plate in the parking lot of a Walmart located at the 2700 block of West University Drive. Receiving the approval to repossess it, he blocked it in.
But before he could get it lifted, the borrower sprung into action. In her desperate fight for freedom from the impending wheel lift, she allegedly struck him on an undisclosed area of his body.
The agent then reportedly yelled at her to stop, but she wasn’t having it and fled, and in the process, ran over his foot.
The police report does not provide a specific description of his injuries other than stating that the tire rolling over his foot caused him pain. (DUH!)
Officers were able to obtain video footage of the incident and are reportedly investigating the incident as a case of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
