Shots fired during repo, but by who?

Hopkinsville, KY – November 10, 2021- According to the Hopkinsville police shots were fired Wednesday afternoon on Treasure Island Court during an attempted repossession of a car. While they know who was involved, they claim that they are not sure who fired the shots.

Captain Kyle Spurlin reported that officers arrived at the 100 block of Treasure Island Court for a report of shots having been fired. Arriving officers were able to determine that a repo man was trying to repossess a car when he and the borrower got into a heated altercation.

Allegedly, t borrower jumped into his car and attempted to leave, striking the repossession agent’s vehicle and hitting the agent’s leg with his car.

Reportedly at this point, several shots were fired into the borrower’s car, but Captain Spurlin reported that police were unsure as to who had fired the shots.

Police report that no one was struck by any of the fired rounds and that the repossessor left the scene before officers arrived. The agent reportedly took himself to Tenova Hospital for medical treatment.

The police investigation is ongoing and the names of the parties involved has not yet been released.
