Good Luck for One, Bad Luck for Another
Gun Drawn on Friday the 13th Repo – Gun Drawn on Friday the 13th Repo
Victorville, CA – February 17, 2026 – Perhaps he should have hung it up for the night at midnight, it was Friday the 13th after all. There was bad luck for one man and good luck for another when a 20-year-old drew a gun on a repo man.
The incident occurred around 12:49 a.m. in the 15600 block of Roy Rogers Drive.
According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jenny L. Smith, an unnamed repossession agent had just repossessed a vehicle from the area and had pulled over a short distance away to notify dispatch.
While on the call, along came 20-year-old Aaron Ramirez in another vehicle. Exiting, he allegedly drew a firearm and pointed it at the agent, Smith said.
The repossessor explained to Ramirez that he worked for a repossession company. As luck would have it, Ramirez lowered and secured the weapon.
But when Deputies arrived shortly after, bad luck reared its head and Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of PC 245(a)(2) — assault with a firearm on a person.
Jail records show Ramirez remains in custody with bail set at a whopping $140,000. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court, Department NF, on February 18, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
No injuries were reported, and the Victorville Police Department is handling the ongoing investigation.
