Steven Scott – 2 October 1973 – 10 July 2020
These days are sad indeed. Shortly after publishing the story on the repossession industries first COVID-19 death, I was advised of the passing of 47-year-old Steven Scott. A nearly 20 year Repo Man for Auto Recovery Bureau of Houston. Steven succumbed to COVID-19 on July 10.
Reaching out to Recovery Bureau of Houston owner, Vaughn Clemmons, he stated;
Steven Scott was an employee with ARB for nearly 20 years, he was dedicated, loyal, as well as an excellent recovery agent. Steve was born on 10/2/1973, he passed on 07/10/2020, he is survived by his 19-year-old daughter Jerrin Price. Steven loved riding his Harley and rarely missed a weekend tinkering with it. Steven had been a benevolent man and was participating in a community wide food drive for the needy through his motorcycle club in the months leading up to his infection.
In early June, he tested positive. A week later he was in the ICU, and never recovered. My last text messages with him was on June 25th, he sent me a picture of him in the ICU right before they intubated him……he was an amazing man, whom I loved dearly, our entire team is still in a state of shock dealing with his untimely demise and grasping for understanding.
It is unknown how or exactly when Steven contracted the virus and a dishonor to his life and memory to speculate without knowledge. He was an industry professional, a loved coworker and employee and will be missed by his family and all that knew him.
RIP and God Bless You Steven.
