Camera Car Driver Shot in Houston – Help Needed!
Houston, TX – August 7, 2023 – Two weeks on the job and two rounds. 27-year-old Adam Murphy wasn’t even engaged in a repossession when all hell broke loose. Four shots were fired and two struck him. Adam needs your help!
In the early morning hours of Friday, August 4th, Adam Murphy was out running his route, as a camera car driver, in a normal fashion. He had no clue as to the events that were going to unfold.

Adam had left from checking an account on Houston’s northside of town. He updated the account and began to move on to the next. During his travel, he stopped at a red light and patiently waited for it to change so that he may proceed.
The streets were fairly empty because of the hour and he noticed a suspicious car, slowly creeping up along his passenger side. Thinking nothing of it, he went back to the conversation he was having on the phone.
Seconds later a gunshot had rung out followed by 3 more immediately after. Realizing that someone was shooting into his car, Adam sped off and kept driving until he found himself in a safe place. He found that he was struck twice by 2 of the 4 shots fired.
Police, EMS and the rest of the team showed up on site and Adam was rushed off to the hospital where he was treated and later released. Police are still investigating and working to find and prosecute the scum that committed this heinous and callous act.
Although lucky that his injuries were not life-threatening, Adam is left with medical bills and regular bills that will need to be paid as he is at home and recovering with his family. We care greatly for all of our team members and we hope that you can find it in your heart to help out one of our own in his time of need. Thank you all.
