DeKalb, GA – 30 January 2018 – A 44-year-old man pulled a shotgun Tuesday morning when a repo man showed up to take his SUV, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael L. Hobson, of the 8300 block of Twombly Road, has been charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. Aggravated assault is typically punishable by one to three years in prison.

The release says a repossession company reported that about 5:45 a.m., Hobson pulled a shotgun and pointed it at a company employee, who still removed Hobson’s Lincoln Navigator from the residence. According to Chief Deputy Andy Sullivan, Hobson had lowered the gun and gone back into the house as the company’s employees finished removing the car, and that they called the sheriff’s office from a residence down the road.
Hobson was arrested without incident, Sullivan said. Hobson has no other criminal history in DeKalb County, and will have a bond hearing at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
