Bond Set for Man Who Fired BB-Gun at Repo Man

Pine Bluff, AR – June 29, 2016 – A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly fired shots at a Repo Man who was trying to repossess the man’s vehicle.

Pine Bluff District Jude John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Andre Ware, 26, with committing a terroristic act.

According to a probable cause affidavit from Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Billy Robertson, police were sent to the parking lot of Brookshire’s grocery on South Hazel Street on June 17, where the driver of the tow-truck told them he had gone to repossess the vehicle when he and Ware got into a verbal altercation. Ware allegedly went into his residence, returned with a gun, and fired shots at the truck.

Deputy Jefferson County Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said police went to the address where they were given the gun, which turned out to be a B-B gun, and officers found a B-B lodged in the mirror of the tow-truck.

Roberson said in the affidavit that when Ware was questioned, he allegedly said he was “frustrated and was trying to scare the driver of the tow-truck.”

Ware, who said he would hire his own attorney, was ordered to have no contact with the driver of the truck until the case is settled.
