Benefits of Attending a National Trade Conference

“ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE”

I was at a national conference of asset recovery specialists (Repossession Agents) and during a conversation was asked this question, “How would being a member of Eagle Group benefit me, I work around the clock to provide an excellent service, am not a member of any trade association and am doing just fine on my own.”

I gave the standard answers you would expect to hear, networking with professionals, training, compliance documents, etc. and the conversation moved on.

But the question kept nagging at me, and I realized that somewhere along the way many people have been convinced that success can be built in isolation, that success can be achieved by any person willing to work harder than everyone else and very little else matters.

My thoughts then turned to the members of Eagle Group and the members who were recognized by the industry as being extraordinary leaders, successful business entrepreneurs, and visionaries who have changed the image of the recovery industry.

As I thought of these men and women one factor stood out with a certain bold clarity.

Behind every successful man and woman in the Eagle Group XX/USA there stood other men and women who believed in and practiced the Eagle Group Credo “One for all and all for one” and who constantly believed, encouraged, challenged, and refused to let other members quit when doubt crept in and attempted to extinguish the hope of success.

It is my personal belief that your environment has a much greater effect on your success in our industry than your individual efforts, no matter how hard you work and no matter how many hours you devote to your craft.

As an individual in the recovery industry who has taken the time to read this short missive, you certainly possess intelligence, ambition, and vision, but if you are constantly surrounded by negativity, jealousy, or constant discouragement instead of positivity, helpfulness, and encouragement your spirit slowly begins to wear down. As members of the human race, it is a natural occurrence that we will absorb positive or negative energy from the people we are surrounded by.

That is why membership in the Eagle Group matters so deeply. The other members of Eagle Group will constantly provide support, information, encouragement and let you know they will be there when you need them. They will constantly remind you of who you are and who you have the potential to become

It is my belief that success begins with intentional industry connections. If you desire success you must choose to stand with the men and women in the recovery industry who awaken the ability to succeed within you.

Surround yourself with industry members who stand tall when fear and uncertainty raise their ugly heads. As a member of Eagle Group, you will stand with industry leaders who challenge your excuses, strengthen your discipline, and remind you that setbacks are temporary.

You will quickly realize the members of Eagle Group are not the ones who simply praise your successes, they are the ones who will stand by you in the hard times and support you when your confidence has reached its limit.
