Woman sets Fire to her own car During Repossession

Arcade, NY – October 16, 2012 – A Wyoming County woman gave new meaning to the term “scorched earth policy” when she set fire to her own vehicle while it was being repossessed.

Obviously dismayed that her Chevy Trailblazer was being repossessed, 59 year old Debi Turk, seems to have decided that if should couldn’t keep her truck, nobody would as she set fire under the back seat.

Luckily for the lender the vehicle reportedly received only minor damage to the seat and carpeting.

Ms. Turk was charged with fourth-degree arson, third degree reckless endangerment, and third-degree criminal mischief.

She posted a whopping $250 bail and is to appear in court at a later date.
