Morton Gap, KY – 5-8-16 – Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred involving two Nortonville men and a Henderson Repo Man last night. One of the men was shot in the abdomen.
According to KSP, Robert Wilke, 38, Henderson, was repossessing a 2006 Chrysler van at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7 on Russ Hill Road in Nortonville. The owner of the van, Tony Strunk, 49, Nortonville, along his son, Marcus Strunk, 24, Nortonville, gave chase in a 2003 GMC Yukon.
Police say the Yukon pulled along the passenger side of the van and intentionally collided into Wilke causing both vehicles to stop in the median of I-69. Tony Strunk and Marcus Strunk both exited the Yukon and approached the van. Wilke exited the van with a firearm and a physical altercation occurred. Wilke shot Tony Strunk in the abdomen during the altercation, according to KSP.
Tony Strunk was flown by PHI Air Medical to Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN for treatment.
The investigation is continuing by Det. Matt Foster. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Hopkins County Sheriff Department, Rescue Squad 2 Nortonville, Medical Center EMS.
