Where the repossession industry gets its news

Repo Agency Owner Murder Leads to Arrest on “Cold Justice”

Stafford, TX – 11 July 2021 – Three days before Christmas in 2003, 40-year-old repossession agency owner Jerry Humphrey, was found dead with three gunshot wounds to the back of his head. With no evidence, the case went cold. Years passed with no progress until the victim’s sister reached out to investigators on Oxygen Channel’s “Cold Justice.” Alleged affairs, murder for hire and insurance policies lace this seedy story that ends in an arrest.

Through their investigation, they shined light on some disturbing allegations levelled at Humphrey’s wife, mother-in-law and one of his drivers. These allegations, accompanied with new evidence led to a Grand Jury indictment and an arrest soon after.

Humphrey’s company, Texas State Impound and Recovery Inc., aka; Fort Bend Impound and Recovery inc., was still in operation as of the 2020 filming of the episode. I’m, not going to ruin it for anyone, but let’s just say, the fact that there was only one arrest is perhaps premature. This episode is worth carving out an hour of time for.

This episode of “Cold Justice”, titled Holiday Homicide” aired on Saturday, July 10 and is available on demand or may be streamed here through your cable provider.
