You are invited to participate in the first Recovery Industry Mastermind event on Tuesday January 9th, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm EST (Noon – 1:30 CST). While there are many topics we need to tackle as an industry, we will begin with our top priority, Agent and Employee Safety.

Background

In the last Fireside Chat of 2023, Vaughn Clemmons, owner of Automobile Recovery Bureau, Inc. and ARA President, put out a call for industry insiders to come together to present actionable ideas around how to keep agents safe on the job, in light of increased violence toward recovery agents and employees.

Many of you raised your hands, expressing a willingness to share your ideas…and the idea for the Recovery Industry Mastermind (RIM for short) was born.

What this event is, and what it is not

This is not an ARA event. Vaughn made this call to action as a concerned owner of a recovery business, and he will be a recovery business owner after his tenure as ARA president is over.

This is not a forum to air grievances. We will clearly define the problems we are facing and focus solely on ideas for intentional, actionable solutions.

This IS an industry-wide discussion with a clear intent to solve the biggest challenges facing our industry. In order to be effective, we must put aside our smaller differences of opinion and work together…as one voice, with one clear vision, for a specific outcome.

Above all, we must take action.

Structure of the Recovery Industry Mastermind Event

The event will last approximately 90 minutes.
We will have 5-8 industry professionals present their ideas. Some of the presenters are recovery agency owners, some industry partners. Each will take approximately 5 minutes to present their ideas, then we will open up Q&A and comments for 5-10 minutes before the next presenter, and so on.
Once all presenters have shared their ideas, we will have open questions and comments for 5-10 minutes
In order to keep from talking over each other, we have to keep everyone muted except during questions or comments. Zoom is a great tool, but it has limitations.
