Charlotte, NC – 10-01-2024 – In the aftermath of the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, the Recovery Agents of the Carolinas (RAC), a leading repossession association, is stepping up to provide much-needed support for the affected communities. As part of their mission to serve both their industry and the wider community, RAC has launched a coordinated effort to raise funds for hurricane relief and deliver essential supplies to those impacted by the storm.

Recovery Agents of the Carolinas Lead Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts in Western North CarolinaGerri Weir, President of the Recovery Agents of the Carolinas, announced today that the organization has activated its members and partners across the state to aid in the relief efforts. “Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by this unprecedented flooding. As an organization rooted in the community, we believe it’s our responsibility to offer help where it’s needed most. We are mobilizing to provide not only financial assistance but also direct support through the delivery of critical supplies.”

The flooding from Hurricane Helene has left many areas in Western North Carolina without power, with roads washed out and homes destroyed. In response, RAC is working with local relief agencies, businesses, and volunteers to ensure aid reaches the hardest-hit areas. Trucks loaded with water, food, blankets, clothing, and other essentials are being dispatched as part of RAC’s relief convoy.

In addition to providing physical supplies, RAC has set up a dedicated relief fund to support families and businesses as they begin to recover and rebuild. Donations from RAC members and the public are being collected to provide financial assistance to those who need it most.

“We are calling on our industry colleagues, community partners, and anyone who is able to donate or volunteer to join us in this effort,” said Gerri Weir. “Together, we can make a meaningful difference for the people of Western North Carolina as they face the long road to recovery.”
