FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Houston, TX – October 2, 2024 – In a historic and collaborative effort to strengthen the repossession industry, the Allied Finance Adjusters Conference (AFA), the American Recovery Association (ARA), and Eagle Group XX held their first virtual meeting via Zoom to begin framing national standards. This partnership marks a crucial step toward developing guidelines that will benefit not only their membership but also the entire industry they are dedicated to supporting.
The focus of these standards is to tackle the challenges faced by repossession agents, ensuring a fair and professional landscape that fosters long-term sustainability.
During this inaugural virtual meeting, representatives from each organization engaged in productive discussions, laying the groundwork to create future standards that reflect the interests and needs of agents and the clients we serve.
“Our goal is to shift control back into the hands of the small businesses that are the heart and soul of this industry,” said Vaughn Clemmons, President ARA. “By combining our voices, we can create a more equitable environment that encourages success for every agent in the field.”
To ensure consistent collaboration and continued progress, AFA, ARA, and Eagle Group XX have committed to meeting virtually via Zoom on a bi-monthly basis. These regular virtual discussions will focus on refining and establishing national standards that support best practices, ethical conduct, and enhanced balanced compliance within the repossession industry for all stakeholders.
“The creation of industry standards can only be possible by a unified front,” added George Badeen, President AFA “In working together, we have strength; our enemies have for too long taken advantage of us by the old belief in divide and conquer”.
“Coming Together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success-Andrew Carnegie,” added Ron Brown, President, Eagle Group XX. “Working with George and Vaughn to establish industry standards is a pleasure as we are finding common ground and sharing ideas in the industry’s best interest.”
The AFA, ARA, and Eagle Group XX encourage all industry members to participate in this initiative, as collective input is vital to shaping standards that align with the industry’s collective goals.
