Borrower claims charges dropped and agent in the wrong

Hanover Township, PA – Headlines read “Man assaults woman after she and another agent try to repossess his vehicle.” But according to a social media post by the borrower, not all is at is seems.

The broadcasted story tells that police were looking for a man that assaulted a woman and drove away after she and another agent tried to repossess his vehicle Sunday night at a residence on Orchard Lane in Hanover Township, Northampton County sometime after 10:30 p.m.

According to the reporters of WFMZtv news, police report that two licensed repossession agents were at the house of Andrew Bauman, 44, to repossess a vehicle when a woman tried to push past one of the agents and lock the vehicle doors.

Bauman then allegedly came outside and grabbed one of the agents, throwing her to the ground and injuring her right arm, according to the release. Police say that Bauman and the woman got into the vehicle and fled causing the agent to jump out of the truck’s way.

The report states that Police will charge Bauman with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, criminal mischief, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Bauman has not been shy about responding to this report and posted his allegations via FaceBook to WFMZtv news’ website, stating that he had video of the entire incident.

Bauman, whose FaceBook name is Axelrod Bauman, claims that the female recovery agent was not an agent, but the actual agent’s wife and that all charges were dropped at the Magistrate level.

He also claims that it was his wife that was his girlfriend that was assaulted and that the agents had no right to be on his property claiming that the vehicle they were looking for was a 1999 Ford F-250 and that his was 2008.

What is true and what isn’t may end up being resolved in court. Bauman claims that he will be filing charges against the agent as well filing a lawsuit against him and the responding Colonial Regional Police Department.
