“if they wrong one of us, they wrong us all.”

CALR supports the movement from our brothers and sisters at AIR, GALR, and TexasARP to get paid by Primeritus. We agree in their condemnation of Primeritus’ refusal to pay their agents. As we have our own members who have all said the same thing, they are tired of being threatened when you question their practices. Primeritus responds with, there are plenty of other agents in your area that will run your work, while you continue to beg and plead to get paid. The days of agents being a dime a dozen, are over.

Primeritus has their own preferred agents, so when their past dues become too high, they pay preferred agents first.  One of our members also told me while they were trying to get paid for months, another agent would get paid in front of and instead of them, since they were not a preferred agent.

The stories can go on forever. Forensic accountants, hired last year by Primeritus, won’t help our agents get paid. Many of our members have said enough is enough. Pay Up. Until then, we won’t work for you. We all have to make our own choices, but the bulk of our members refuse to accept work until they get paid.

Individual companies have sent their own demands to Primeritus. To our knowledge, some agents have been paid, and some have not. We must stand up to the forwarders when they wrong us. Honestly if they wrong one of us, they wrong us all. We are the ones on the street, boots on the ground, taking the risk and need to be paid for the same.

The bigger question is, going forward will there be a building to sell next year? It should never get to this point.
