WA Repossession Agents Come Under Gunfire

Medical Lake, WA – 12 February 2020 – On Tuesday evening, two repossession employees reported to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department, that they were shot at attempting to repossess a vehicle in a rural part of the county. The report indicates that the rear window of one of the vehicles was shot out and one of the two men sustained minor, non-gunshot injuries.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department has two men in custody while they investigate the report of shots being fired on two recovery agents who had attempted to repossess a vehicle in Medical Lake, Washington.

The victims reported that on Tuesday night at approximately 9pm, a repossession agent reported that he and his co-worker were attempting to repossess a car at a rural residence located on the 209000 block of W. Indiana Lane, when they came under fire. At least one round reportedly shot out the rear window of his vehicle, after which, they quickly fled the scene.

Responding Deputies located and apprehended two men allegedly involved near the intersection of Brooks and Christensen Roads. The two men are being detained while deputies investigate what exactly had transpired. 

One of the two recovery agents fleeing the scene had  appeared to sustain some minor injuries, but none life threatening and neither was shot.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the aforementioned report is still in its early stages of the investigation and an update is expected Wednesday, which could include possible charges or arrests if warranted.
