Three Arrested Over Alleged Attempt to Run Over Repossession Agent

Moniteau County, MO, 24 February 2021 – Three people were arrested after a reported incident involving attempted assault with a motor vehicle during a repossession attempt in Moniteau County last week.

Deputies were called Feb. 17 to a residence on Carney King Road by a man who said he had gone there to repossess a vehicle, according to a Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The man told authorities a person at the residence had gotten into another vehicle and attempted to run over him; he was reportedly struck with the vehicle, causing minor injuries.

Three occupants of the residence were arrested.

Hunter Jobe, 20, of Rolla, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and armed criminal action, with bond set at $50,000.

Hope Dell, 23, of Jefferson City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Vienna.

Brandon Harrison, 32, of St. James, was arrested on a warrant from Audrain County.

After the arrests, deputies were contacted by a person who reported having observed items at the residence that appeared out of place. Deputies found tools and other items labeled with the name of someone who did not live at the residence. Through making contact with other Mid-Missouri law enforcement, deputies discovered the items had been reported as stolen in a burglary in Cole County.
