Little Rock , AR – January 15, 2016 – A group of people beat a man who was trying to repossess a car Wednesday in Little Rock, police reported.
William Higgins said he was at 8521 Geyer Springs Road to take back a 2005 Cadillac SRX on behalf of a creditor when a man confronted him about 11:10 a.m., according to a police report. Higgins, 43, said other men soon joined the dispute over the vehicle, and one of them punched him and knocked him down.
The group dragged Higgins on the ground, punched and kicked him, the report states. At one point, the man who financed the vehicle reportedly reached inside Higgins’ jacket and demanded money. That man was last seen fleeing the scene in the Cadillac.
Police said Higgins had minor injuries to his face. He declined medical treatment.
Police had identified two men accused of attacking Higgins, according to the report. No charges had been filed Thursday.
