Where the repossession industry gets its news

Recovering Agency Owner Needs Your Help

Rowland Horne

We are reaching out to you today in the hopes that you will consider helping Rowland Horne of Horne’s Recovery Fayetteville, who was involved in a very serious accident earlier this month.  Rowland Horne and his wife Pat have been in the repossession industry since 1985.  They are small family owned and operated business in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Many of you may remember them from attending seminars and other industry events practically every year…. Rowland was always on the dance floor if there was dancing to be done – and was always willing to share a photo of his beloved bulldogs over the years!

After experiencing the same hardships the entire industry has faced in 2020 and into 2021, Rowland was injured in a very serious auto accident on Feb 12, 2021.  His wife Pat was with him at the time of the accident, thankfully was not physically injured herself, but she had to witness the aftermath of his injuries after multiple vehicles caused rear end collisions – which caused Rowland to sustain critical injuries.  He remains in the hospital today, more than a month later with a tracheotomy tube, but thankfully has finally been moved out of the ICU.

He has had to have multiple surgeries and has pins, rods and plates in his hand, arm and legs.  He is not currently able to eat or drink anything by mouth as he aspirates into his lungs.  Since being hospitalized, he has contracted and beat pneumonia and MRSA – a very dangerous infection.  He will remain in the hospital until his tracheotomy tube can be removed and then will have to be moved to a rehab facility for occupational and physical therapy.

Pat and her son are trying to keep the business going, but the repossession industry is tough and the family’s energies need to be focused on Rowland and his recovery.  If you are in a position to help, we ask that you consider helping this family.

If you are, the RABF is accepting donations and will send the full donation amount to the family, not taking any processing fees out of the donation.  You can fax a check to 703-365-0753, email a copy of your check to donations@recoveryagentsbenefitfund.org or if you prefer to mail check, you can send it to PO Box 4102, Manassas, VA 20108.

A gofundme campaign was set up to benefit Rowland and his family, with his wife Pat having the access to withdraw funds, for those who prefer to donate that way and hope that you may share the link:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/prayers-and-help-for-rowland-horne-nc?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1.

We know times are tough for everyone and the RABF has also seen donations significantly impacted (reduced) by the state of the industry and of course by events where fundraising would usually occur being canceled due to COVID. But if you are able to help, we ask you to please consider doing so.
