Where the repossession industry gets its news

Industry Insider: Vision For 2020 And Beyond

UPDATE FROM ARA

I would encourage you: be informed – knowledge is power.” Matt Bevin

Without question, NO repossession trade association or group in the history of the profession has ever offered its members more services, benefits and support than the American Recovery Association does today.  ARA is currently offering a broad spectrum of compliance, safety and operational training opportunities, cost-saving standardization processes, insurance programs, and legislative advocacy.

More and more clients are looking to the ARA compliance program as their “go to” source for vetting their service providers.

Many premier national creditor-related organizations are looking to ARA as their bridge-building partner in the repossession industry.

The ARA has taken the lead to establish the credibility and professionalism in our industry by offering a comprehensive range of widely accepted and highly acclaimed programs unprecedented by any trade association in our field.

The six primary areas of focus are:

CCRS Compliance:  ARA offers its members an industrial-strength compliance program, accepted by a growing number of the nation’s lenders. This saves thousands…or, in some cases, tens of thousands of dollars over utilizing a third-party platform. The cost savings in securing background checks, and universally-accepted lot inspections, saves time and money.  CCRS houses site inspections of 500+ lots, which can be accessed by clients, rather than burden repossessors with redundant inspection costs and needless additional investments of time. Clients like ALLY Financial, Bridgecrest, and others rely on CCRS lot inspections as a cost savings to them, and a streamlined process for the repossession industry vendors.

Industry education:  The purpose of any trade association is to educate and provide standardized policies.  Recently ARA has published nationally accepted “white papers” on Personal Property, COVID response, and other key issues that effect both agents and lenders. ARA’s Repossession Matters Series: Personal Property Fees

Advocacy:  Another purpose of a trade association is being an advocate for the industry. Through our participation with the REPO ALLIANCE, ARA is helping protect YOUR interests in the federal government.  Listen to my latest Podcast

Life Insurance, Workers Compensation Program:  Ongoing Partnership with Harding Brooks (life insurance program, workers compensation policies). Two members families accessed the life insurance policy just this past year. We are proud to be partners in a program that offers this huge benefit to our members. Some members are saving as much as $50,000 per year in Workers Comp expenses by taking part in the ARA/Harding Brooks WC program.

Online directory, physical directory:  Physical directory still to be published for specific targets.

Job Placement, Credential Warehousing:  TalentValue is provided for free to the membership. This program provides employee placement program at repojobs.us

ARA University And Success Center:  Onsite training program for continuing education. Subjects include accounting practices, staff training and development, other business development training. Oversight provided by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. https://www.credentialingexcellence.org

Providing this wealth of training, credentialing, advocacy, and business support is what a trade association is supposed to do.  ARA is offering these assets…and more…to their members.  This is what we hoped to accomplish in TFA’s merger with the American Recovery Association; the ability to support, promote, educate, and advocate for, our industry.  ARA has achieved the goal of this comprehensive support for the repossession business.

Now is the time to join the American Recovery Association.  HERE
