March 27th, 2020– the date that resonates with every repossession owner, agent, financial institution, and dealership in Illinois. This represents the day that our businesses were forced to halt due to the Executive Order set forth by Governor Pritzker.
As this order continues to be extended now moving into August, Illinois agency owners have decided to join forces for a common cause: to keep our businesses alive and our families supported. With the formation of the Alliance of Illinois Repossessors, we have attained the service of counsel, Attorney Tom Glasgow, to represent our agencies with the goal of injunction against the governor’s order.
Glasgow has over two decades of experience and is known for passionately advocating on behalf of his clients. Local and national news media, including the Cable News Network and FOX News Network, LLC, have sought Mr. Glasgow for his legal opinion on current events. Regarding his achievements, he holds an AVVO “Superb” rating. His strategic approach, extensive education in law, and passion for success we feel he is going to be our greatest chance to re-establish repossession services in Illinois.
We are committed to fighting for the viability of our industry in Illinois, which encompasses fighting for our families, our communities and the greater role we play in the economy. We are small business owners and we support a variety of other industries through our work – the transportation industry, the remarketing industry, the lending industry and so much more.
We are asking for our entire community of industry professionals to come together to fight this cause. There is strength in numbers, and we need your funding and support to help subsidize the costs associated with this battle against the executive orders halting our business in Illinois.
We are looking to get our agents back to work and to assist the financial institutions with the recovery efforts of their collateral. Please help our cause by clicking the link below and donating much needed and critical funds.
Thank You!
