Where the repossession industry gets its news

FL Repossession Veteran Passes Away

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing away of veteran recovery agent John Scott of “The Final Notice Agency” in Ft Lauderdale, FL. John suffered a heart attack during a repossession last week on April 21st and passed away on April 28, 2020.

John P. Scott, 50 years of age, had been in the Repossession and Collections industry for 30 years. According to Dana Riley at “The Final Notice Agency”, “He was not just an employee with us for 15 years but a personal friend for over 20. He was always there with a helping hand for his fellow Repossession agents.  He has trained so many through the years while working for us. He will be missed by many. I am truly at a loss for words. It saddens me that during this time he will not be able to have the proper burial he deserves due to the corona virus but we will surely do our best to show him the love”

John is survived by his beautiful Wife Zoila, son Eric; daughter Tiffany; parents Anthony and Judith and brothers Chuck, Jeff and Bobby.

John’s services will be held on May 2, but Social distancing guidelines will limit the attendance to 10 persons at a time. However, we strongly hope that he will be shown the respect due by an industry traditional and well-attended “Tow Truck Funeral Procession” from the funeral home to the burial site.
