Where the repossession industry gets its news

Eagle Group XX Expands Membership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eagle Group XX was formed in 2010 by 20 of the most forward thinking and highly respected members of the Asset Recovery Industry. The members came from both small operations in sparsely populated rural areas such as Montana and Idaho to large operators in highly populated metropolitan cities such as Dallas, Houston and Miami.  The group was comprised of single agencies covering only a specific area to agencies with offices in multiple states covering vast areas.

This diversification allowed the sharing of many different business models as well as concepts and ideas. Each member contributed to the group and committed to three things, TIME, membership was for a 12-month period, MONEY, each member paid their dues for 12 months up-front and finally EACH OTHER MEMBER of the group. If any one member needed anything the other 19 members stood ready to assist in every way possible.

The group began to develop their own proprietary Policy and Procedures Manual which quickly grew to over 400 pages and continues to grow with each client demand for a new policy, their own Emergency Management and Disaster Plan and their own nationally accepted training programs, Field Agent Compliance Training (FACT), Support Employee Compliance Training (SECT) and the acclaimed agent safety training program Situational Awareness and Confrontational Avoidance Techniques (SACAT).

Last, but certainly not the least, of the groups accomplishments was the act of attending conferences and conventions held by the major credit union associations and leagues, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), Automobile Financial Group meetings ranging from 20 group meetings to the huge Buy Here Pay Here Conferences with 3500 plus attendees. The primary purpose of attending these functions was to obtain new business which was good, well paying business from clients who appreciated professionalism and understood the adage, “If you pay peanuts you get monkeys”.

The Eagle Group XX developed a web site and an 800 number and encouraged the potential clients to call or email when they needed a professional recovery agent to handle their repossession assignments. When the call came in the clients were referred to an agent that could handle the assignment. Many referrals went to not only the members of Eagle Group XX but also primarily to TFA members and to members of ARA, NFA and Allied. The Eagle Group XX began to handle between 10 to 25 referrals per day not including the assignments that went directly to the Eagle Group XX Agencies and in the 9 years this referral program has been in place there has never been a complaint lodged by either the side. The referral program proved worthwhile and everyone made good money as these clients pay a fair fee and do not demand freebies.

For almost 10 years membership in Eagle Group XX and the recognition and benefits that came with that membership have been very closely held by the members and they carefully selected new members on the rare occasions when here was an open slot.

Times seem to be changing. The trade organizations that once focused on obtaining quality business for their members now seem to be focused on other things. TFA no longer exists, NFA no longer exists and agents are given the option of joining ARA or Allied at a high and sometimes prohibitive cost.

ARA now has various classes of memberships which will allow the forwarders to be members, will allow those aspiring to be recovery agents but have no experience or training to be members, allow vendors and clients to be members. The focus seems to be on increasing membership rather than obtaining good business for their members. NARS has grown into a giant of an event which brings together any and all repossessors, client and forwarders for a two-day event where ideas can be exchanged, and deals made to locate who will give away the most and who work the cheapest

It is these changes that has prompted Eagle Group XX to re-think their position in the industry and develop a new strategic plan to not only obtain an abundance of high-quality business but also establish a national network of trained professional recovery agents to handle the anticipated volume of direct assignment business.

With this concept Eagle Group XX will begin to establish the “EAGLE GROUP”, a national referral network consisting of one or more agents in each state who will be the target recipients of assignments from the clients utilizing the www.eaglegroupxx.com web site to locate and select an agent to handle their account, calling into the Eagle Group XX toll free number or sending emails or texts requesting information related to who to use in a certain area.

The new members of “EAGLE GROUP” will be listed on the Eagle Group XX web site, granted access to all networking communications between “Eagle Group” members, provided with all the required BCFP documents and an Emergency Management and Disaster Plan, receive the FACT/SECT/SACAT compliance training credentialing programs, be connected to the Eagle Group XX 24/7/365 Compliance Consulting Network Hotline, receive daily industry related news articles as well as receive numerous other benefits as a member of the prestigious “Eagle Group”.

The primary focus of Eagle Group XX will remain obtaining good business at a fair fee for all the members of Eagle Group.
