Jacksonville, FL – May 23, 2023 – There is no sneaking away with a semi-truck. For one commercial repossession agent, he just didn’t have enough time to get away. Blocked in and shots fired, under gunpoint, he did the wise thing.
It was just about noon when the Jacksonville PD responded to a call at Druid Street, near Lennox Avenue. They were quick to discover the incident involved a repossession. According to the agents, they had successfully repossessed the semi-truck and were leaving when the borrower caught up to them in his other vehicle and blocked them in from leaving.
Gun drawn, the borrower allegedly fired a round and forced the agent out at gunpoint.
The borrower then took possession of the truck and drove to a nearby residence where he was apprehended by police.
JSO report that the man has been charged with carjacking, aggravated assault and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
There were no injuries reported.
