Like California where it all began, and like the mighty AIR in Illinois, the states with repossession agency licensing requirements have a history as being the strongest. Amidst the ever-growing list of new state repossession associations, it’s easy to forget one of the oldest and most influential of them all; the Florida Association Of Licensed Repossessors.

Long plagued by division and politics in the past, they’ve reformed and they’re back. Join J. Patrick Altes as he discusses their reformation and future on another excellent episode of RepoAmerica. The Florida Association of Licensed Repossessors is a not-for-profit Florida organization. The purpose of the association is to promote professionalism in the collateral recovery industry through education and training. FALR has members throughout Florida, and the association also enjoys relationships with professionals in other states.

Goals

” To create and maintain an organizational communication network within the State of FL between all licensed recovery agencies.

” To form a working relationship with each other that will create a statewide bond between agencies.

” To create and maintain an organizational communication network beyond the State of Florida with other State and National groups and vendors within the Recovery Industry.

” To hold various functions in different areas of the state where members of the financial and law enforcement community will be invited.

” To create and maintain a working relationship with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing.

” To promote and enhance the image of licensed recovery agents in the State of Florida among financial institutions.

” To enhance our acceptance by law enforcement agencies statewide.

” To make the financial community aware of F.S. Chapter 493 and its purpose.

” To assist in the location of insurance companies for our members for general liability and garage owner’s insurance, as well as other needed or required coverage’s.
