Port Lucie, FL – January 25, 2024 – The borrower can be seen on camera demanding the agent leave. Undeterred, the agent can be seen edging his tow truck back toward him. Not satisfied with punching the repossession agent, the borrower went inside, got his gun and opened fire.

FL Repo Agent Punched and ShotOn Thursday afternoon at about noon, an unnamed 28-year-old repossession agent went to a residence on the 2000 block of Southwest Villanova Road with what is reported as a legitimate repossession assignment. Shortly after he arrived, the car’s owner, 59-year-old Omar Sueque, emerged from the house and confronted him.

A neighbor captured the incident on his cell phone. In the video, the borrower could be heard yelling, “Hey, get out, this is private property,” and “I have cameras here,” and then a man can be seen throwing a punch at the agent.

As can also be seen in the video, the repossessor then edges back toward the man, only infuriating him further.

It was after this that Sueque allegedly went inside his house, got a gun and returned.

At least five rounds were fired at the agent through the driver side window and one through of the cab of the tow truck. It is unknown at this point how many struck him.FL Repo Agent Punched and Shot

The wounded agent managed to flee the scene and drove around the corner where he went to a neighboring residence and called 911. Police and emergency services located the agent who was found to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The wounded agent was airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.

Police responded to the scene of the shooting and detained Sueque without incident.

FL Repo Agent Punched and ShotSueque, is reported to be facing one count of attempted homicide and one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. No bail has been reported and he will be taken to St. Lucie County Jail.

The WPTV reporter seen in the video reported that a reported coworker of the injured repossession agent, he was relatively new to the repossession business and was only working in the daylight hours which are considered safer.
