Memphis, TN – August 11, 2025 – Technology has helped a lot in unravelling crimes committed again repossession agents over the past few years. And dash cam video of a repossession shooting has now aided in the capture of an ex-con for shooting a Memphis agent in the leg.

The violent incident began back on May 21st when Memphis Police responded to a call at the 2300 block of Warren Street to respond to a shooting. Soon after arriving, they found an injured repossession agent.

According to the unnamed agent’s report, he was in the process of loading a 2007 Lexus onto his truck when an unknown man charged out the door of a house and toward him.

Raising the gun at him, he is reported to have stated “Give me my car.” “Drop my sh*t off.” “I’m finna pop you.”

Not reported is the location of the agent when the man came out, but the Repossessor put his truck in drive and fled. But not before the man fired five shots at him with one hitting him.

Fortunately, his calf was only grazed and he was not seriously injured. On the bright side, he did get the Lexus. Police say the damage to the Ford tow truck was estimated at only $500.

The then unknown suspect was reported to have jumped a fence and ran away.
