If you recall from Tuesday’s story on the tragic murder of Cody Carlin, agency owner Shawn Johnson had requested that he “would like to ask anyone that is able, once funeral arrangements are made for Cody Carlin, to send flowers and fill the funeral home.” We apologize for the short notice, but we were late in finding the details for the funeral services. Please show your support to his family and friends. Below are the details;

Family will receive friends at the church on Friday, July 21, 2023, 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

Services will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Experience Gateway Church 11017 Kemps Mill Road, Williamsport, MD with the Pastor Rodney Rhodes officiating.

Interment will be at the Carrick United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ft. Loudon, PA. at 2:30 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023.

Eulogy

Cody Carlin, a son, brother, grandson, boyfriend, and friend to all, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on July 13th, 2023, in Augusta, WV. He was 27 years old. Cody was born in Hagerstown, Maryland on December 28th, 1995 to Anthony and Sandy Carlin. Cody was a proud graduate of Washington County Technical High School, class of 2013, where he studied digital communications. Cody worked at Sears, Omega Media, WHAG, Lifetouch photography, Whitetail resort, Botanica Enterprises and Shawn’s Auto Recovery.

He was a freelance videographer and photographer known as Eastcoastfilmzz.

He was an amazing skateboarder, snowboarder, and recently took up golfing. He loved to travel and spend time with his friends. Cody lit up every room with his smile and energy.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony Brian Carlin and Sandy Marie Carlin, sister, Lindsay Marie Crouse and husband Trevor, Girlfriend, Anna Blecha, Maternal Grandparents, Richard & Doris Wishard, Uncle and Aunt Steve and Martye Carlin, Uncle, Shane Carlin, Uncle and Aunt, Rich and Julie Wishard, cousin, Casey (Fiancé Chloe) Wishard, Cousin, Daniel Wishard, Great Aunt, Sandra Dinsmore, Great Aunt, Kay Shearer.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Jack Carlin and Paternal Grandmother, Sharon McGregor Carlin.
