Eagle Group XX 13 – Charles Wilson

Members of Eagle Group XX/USA…

As many of you are aware our Eagle Group XX member, Charles Wilson, EGXX13 passed from our presence over the weekend.

Charles was not only a member of the Eagle Group but was also one of my closest friends and supporters. We shared many hours recounting our past adventures and made a few new ones together, I will sorely miss our conversations and camaraderie. We shared our successes and our failures, our hits and our misses, our passions, and our perils.

An Eagle Has Flown Over the Horizon I designed the “Eagle Group Coin”, the first one introduced to the recovery industry and now copied by many, but Charles is the one who made it happen. Through his contacts and funds he supplied the group with those coins and I implore you, every time you hold your coin to think and remember Charles. Hold the coin tight and you will hear his raucous laughter and see his infectious smile.

Charles was many things to many people, a true friend, a mentor, a teacher, a protector, and a person you could always count on to be there if you needed him. He always closed our conversations with “Do you need anything, brother…what can Charles do for Ron?”

We often spoke of the three types of people, those who watch things happen, those who make things happen and those who say, “What Happened?”… Charles Wilson was a person who MADE THINGS HAPPEN!

Charles had requested No Services and No Memorials and to the best of my knowledge, at this time, in keeping with his request, none are planned.

I am in contact with Lisa and will certainly advise you if that changes.

Charles was a big man who led a big life, he came and went as he pleased, and he left this earthly life the same way he lived it… on his terms and on his time.

I can hear his booming voice now saying, “Be well and rejoice my Eagle Brothers and Sisters for I am in Valhalla!“
