What One Woman Did to Reinstate Her Repossessed Car

c_edwardsBoynton Beach, FL – April 7, 2013 – Looking like a deer in the headlights in her booking photo, a desperate 25 year old Chelsey Edwards stands charged of multiple charges after her failed attempt to steal enough from her work to get her repossessed car back.

Edwards was arrested at the J.C. Penney store in the 800 block of North Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach after
a loss prevention officer reported to  police that Edwards had reported having found a bag containing a men’s necklace, ring and a bracelet in the store’s safe, according to an arrest affidavit.

The loss prevention officer allegedly advised Edwards to put the items back into the safe and that he would investigate it later, but he claims that he heard Edwards had gone to pawn the approximately $1,000 in jewelry, the affidavit said.

Police Investigators later verified that Edwards had collected $500 for the stolen merchandise.

Edwards was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail and booked on multiple charges.
