Man Arrested After Threatening Repo Man, Firing Gun in Air

dennis_reidJames City County, VA – January 19, 2013 – After a neighbor alerted 55-year-old Dennis Ray Reid that the Repo Man was coming, Reid had a rude surprise for the unsuspecting agent.

On Friday night, a repossessor arrived at the residence of Dennis Ray Reid who had already received a phone call from a neighbor that the Repo Man was on his way to recover the truck parked behind the house.

Reid allegedly exited the residence out the back door and threatened to shoot the Repo Man and fired a weapon into the air. The Repo Man then reportedly ran and hid behind a shed. Reid then tried to hide the truck between two sheds on his property and then went back inside.

The Repo Man called the police, who were able to get Reid to come outside unarmed, where he was arrested.

Reid has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm and brandishing a firearm. He was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. There were no reported injuries and the truck was repossessed.
