A man was assaulted as he was in the process of repossessing a truck in the 29000 block of Technology Drive in Murrieta on the afternoon of Apr. 30, officials reported.

Deputies from the Southwest Station responded to a carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon call. When officers arrived they discovered a man was attacked by two suspects while he was in the middle of attaching a truck to his vehicle’s tow hitch, a Riverside Sheriff’s report stated.

“Re-possessors have policies and procedures they go by and sometimes they will call law enforcement ahead of time or right after a vehicle has been repossessed,” Deputy Angel Ramos said.

The unnamed victim got into the truck and was preparing it for transport when he was assaulted by the two male suspects. The Repo Man reportedly advised Diskin and Brown that he was repossessing the truck, but they continued to assault him.

Diskin and Brown removed the truck being repossessed from the back of the Repossessor’s truck and fled the area in the repossessed truck.

The Repossessor suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.

Investigators tracked and arrested down the Diskin and Brown. They were booked into the Southwest Detention Center on charges of carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.
