Eagle Group XX Calls on Recovery Agencies and Trade Associations to Adopt a Verified Fee Policy and Stop Accepting Unsustainable Terms
TALK, TALK, TALK… that is all I have heard regarding numerous issues in our industry. There is a lot of “TALK” and very little DO.
ARA has set up their members on various committees with lenders and forwarders but I have seen no major changes in our fee structures and agencies are still struggling to keep their doors open.
There was “TALK” about establishing “Industry Standards” but as of this date, over a 14 month period, there are still no Industry Standards.
In my opinion the time for “TALK” is over and the time for ACTION is on hand.
I am sick and tired of hearing from members of our industry reciting the same old thing, “If I will not work for their quoted fees I will lose their business”.
Why are we not saying ” If the client will not pay my quoted fees they will lose a professional, properly insured, trained, and CFPB Compliant Recovery Agent”.
It is time to quit talking, get off your knees and stop begging for business.
The EAGLE GROUP has issued and adopted a policy directed at obtaining a fair fee for the work we do and are willing to share it with all members of the industry. The attached policy was developed over a period of time and after a lot of thought by one of our Eagle Group USA members, Alisha McQuirt of Marshalls Recovery in Humboldt, Tennessee.

AFA and ARA are welcome to copy it today, adopt it and make it an industry standard … or will they just want to “Talk about it” while agencies are faced with increasing expenses.
I just heard that one client is now “DEMANDING” all agency field agents use body cameras if you want their business. Another expense for the agency with no compensation to offset the expense. Where and when these unreasonable demands end depends on the trade associations and YOU.
Let the clients who dictate unreasonable demands and pay a small portion of what it actually costs to run an assignment pay peanuts and use monkeys for a while and see how that works.
Have I put the matter too strongly? Possibly I have; but when the men and women in the recovery industry have gotten down on their knees begging for business and working for the pittance offered by the “Big Guys” I wish to speak a word of sympathy for the ones who stand their ground, who refuse to work for sub-standard institutions who dictate fees and conditions, those who succeed against great odds, and having succeeded, finds their industry peers bowing, begging and kissing the feet of those who would put them out of business.
Adopt the “VERIFIED FIELD SERVICE & TRANSPORTATION FEE POLICY“ today and stand up for the welfare of all members of the industry.
