Warren, OH – March 18, 2026 – Bad things happen when people make bad decisions. And when one man felt it warranted to attack a man repossessing a Dodge Charger, he made a very bad one. One that sends him away for a considerable amount of time.

The incident occurred back on August 2nd of 2025 when Warren Police officers responded to a call at Palmyra Road SW Saturday to investigate a neighborhood disturbance. Arriving at the scene, they heard the tale of woe from an employee of a Warren used car dealer who had just had a nasty encounter.

The amateur repo man told police that he was attempting to repossess a Dodge Charger from the residence, when a man, later identified as 52-year-old Hasonn L. Miller, arrived armed with a baseball bat.

According to the man, Miller busted up the car’s back, driver’s side, and front windows with the bat before leaving in an SUV. Fortunately, the man filmed the license of the Miller as he made his escape.

Police quickly found Miller at his home and arrested him. He was booked into the Trumbull County Jail. The report did not say that Miller owned the car, but he was called over when the homeowner on Palmyra Road spotted the repo man.

Miller was arraigned the following Monday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging.

On January 8 of this year, Miller pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree aggravated assault and fifth-degree vandalism felonies, according to a news release from the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office.

On March 18th, Miller was sentenced to a 28-month consecutive prison sentence.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office, the judge said the consecutive sentences were warranted because of the seriousness of the offenses and because Miller had served two previous prison sentences for violent offenses.
