One Shot, One Arrested

Colorado Springs, CO – September 17, 2025 – The car was loaded and the repossession was going smooth until the borrower emerged. Allegedly ripping cameras off the tow truck, his meltdown is reported to have ended in gunfire with one person being shot and one going to jail.

It was about 9PM on Tuesday the 16th when police were called to a residence on the 700 block of East Moreno Avenue. When officers arrived, they reported to have found a gunshot victim at the house where the repossession took place.

According to reports, the repossession agent had already successfully loaded the vehicle intended for repossession when a man came out. The man allegedly began tearing cameras off of the tow truck.

As the agent fled the scene, the man then reportedly opened fire on the tow truck. While the fair assumption would be that  it was a repossessor shot, it now appears that it was not. According to some reports, a man was shot and injured in the incident but it was not the borrower or the agent.

Police have not released information about exactly who was shot nor who was arrested.

Police say the repossessed vehicle has been seized as the investigation continues.
