What appeared to be a naked borrower trying to stop his Rolls Royce from being repossessed, turned out to be something a bit different according to one agent in Florida.
Intrigued by the backstory on this repossession, an agency owner on Florida who wished to remain unknown, did a little homework. He identified the company whose truck it was and spoke to the tow company owner.
The owner, who was upset that this took off all over the internet, confessed to the agency owner that this was not a repossession, but a “Government seizure.” Which governmental agency he would not disclose.
I suppose the black SUV pulling up in the background had something to do with all of this. Something tells me that this guys day was only about to get worse.
Considering the optics of this being a repossession performed by a member of the Florida professional repossession community, I’m glad it wasn’t a repo. This was a breach of peace under those circumstances, but as a government seizure, well, that’s on them. As Ron Brown says; “Not my monkeys, not my circus.”
