The State Associations extend their appreciation to Credit Acceptance Corp (CAC) for their recent implementation of a new policy aimed at addressing repossession violence and prioritizing agent safety within the industry. This proactive step by CAC reaffirms their commitment to their vendor partners.

“Credit Acceptance will review the situation and if the threat has merit, we will pay the full involuntary repossession amount.”

This policy plays a vital role in fostering responsible and safe conduct among recovery agents, discouraging them from taking unnecessary risks to recover units. By taking this initiative in the industry, agents are encouraged to prioritize peaceful resolutions, thereby minimizing conflicts, potential litigation, and ensuring their protection.

Thank you for your dedication to safety and paving the way in the right direction for our other lender partners.

Sincerely,
